Vision
We will focus on building relationships as we serve and empower people.
Relationships are a transforming thing.
Close to the heart of Our Mission is the desire to empower others through community initiatives. With a focus on our homeless and at-risk neighbors, empowerment means building relationships that open avenues of opportunity.
This is especially important when considering that there are many assistance programs that fail to empower; they meet a need, but they don't provide a pathway out of the challenges a person is facing. 150 aims to be a place where real empowerment happens; where people are served, loved, and inspired to take steps toward a positive future.
The New Moon Cafe venue offers empowerment initiatives in the form of a Job Skills Training Program partnering with Catalyst Kitchens in Seattle as well as vocational opportunities to work in the Cafe.
In addition, The Banquet at New Moon provides a monthly platform to honor, serve and value at risk and homeless folks in our community.
New Moon is a Partner of Vermont Challah for Hunger, a student led non-profit under the Hillel umbrella, which is dedicated to baking and selling Challah bread for the benefit of Hunger Free Vermont and MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger.
